About the Library
Pictures Colour Library was established in 1989 as a specialist supplier of British editorial photography to publishers, broadcasters, research institutions and advertising agencies.
Over three decades we have built one of the most comprehensive visual archives of British life, culture, food and travel in private hands. Our collection spans the post-war years to the present, with particular strength in documentary and lifestyle photography.
From the fairgrounds of 1970s England to the sun-drenched squares of Marbella, from the industrial waterfronts of Liverpool to the Michelin-starred plating of the modern British kitchen - our photographers have captured it all with rigour and artistry.
